Eastern Planning, Inc. began in 1995 with a simple vision: provide superior customer service and personal, practical advice. In 2000, Beth Blecker took over as CEO of the company and grew the firm to its present scope, serving hundreds of clients nationwide.
We value the strong bonds we have with each client and are committed to providing them with the opportunity to achieve financial freedom and the enjoyment of their quality of life. An IRA and distribution expert, Beth considers herself to be an educator as much as she is an advisor. She counsels near-retirees on proactive financial management so they can enjoy life; she focuses on helping women develop strong financial literacy and she guides each client to take an active role in creating their own customized investment portfolio. Beth helped launch Eastern Planning in 1995 after a 20-year career with a CPA firm. In 2000, she took over as CEO and has grown Eastern Planning into a financial firm that strives to provide superior customer service and personal, practical advice. She is a member of Ed Slott Master Elite Advisors, an organization of financial advisors who are dedicated to being among leaders in the IRA industry. In her quest to bring solid financial knowledge to a wider audience, Beth lectures at local colleges, offers regular workshops and has hosted the weekly internet show, Taking Control: Financial Independence for Women (which is translated for the hearing-impaired audience). Beth is past President of the Rockland Business Women’s Network, a non-profit organization that supports and empowers women by providing networking and educational opportunities. Beth’s passionate involvement in the community has inspired her to volunteer in many areas. She serves on the boards of People to People and the United Way of Rockland and is a Big Sister with Rockland County Big Brother Big Sister program. She also loves completing puzzles and reading books with grandson Spencer.

As President of Eastern Planning, Inc., Matt focuses on portfolio management and IRA distribution planning, using diligent research and a deep knowledge to develop customized portfolios for each client. While offering careful investment, IRA distribution, retirement, and tax planning advice, Matt counsels clients to manage their behavior effectively in order to reap the benefits of investing in a diversified, long-term oriented portfolio. Matt’s highest professional priority is educational excellence. We believe his clients benefit from his CFA charter, CFP designation, and most recently, his MBA from Columbia University Business School, which is renowned for its Value Investing expertise. Notable Columbia Business School graduates include Warren Buffett and Mario Gabelli. In addition to his CFA charter, CFP designation, and MBA, Matt has attained his Series 7, 66, and 24 registrations. He is also a registered life, accident, and health insurance agent. He received a BS in Insurance from Pennsylvania State University. In 2009, Matt was named as one of Rockland County’s 40 Under 40 -- an award designed to recognize the leaders of today and tomorrow -- by the Rockland Economic Development. Matt’s generous contributions and volunteering have helped Meals On Wheels Association of America, the USO, the Kennedy Funding Invitational to raise money for breast cancer centers and research, and People To People. Matt enjoys spending time with his wife Alissa, as well as his family and friends. In addition to finance, his interests include exercising, sports, reading, music, history, and politics.
